CHARITYSMITH Nonprofit Foundation was created by Brooks Rohlen in memory of his late father, Douglas F. Smith, who was killed in a commercial airplane crash at Aspen Airport in 1970. Since its inception in 1994, the intention of CHARITYSMITH has been to honor the memory of a loved one by helping others achieve their dreams. Charitysmith was established to honor the memories of inspirational people who have passed on. In 2006, Charitysmith established the Goran Kropp Memorial Fund in honor of Goran Kropp’s unparalleled courage and ambition and his passion for adventure. The fund was established to support those who venture to challenge their inner core. For so many who love the outdoors, Goran was and still is a true inspiration. Biking for a Better World is honored to be the 2007 recipient of this memorial fund. Goran has always been a hero to all the members of team A2A, and to have his name attached to the project is very special. The team wants to thank Brooks and Charitysmith for all their support.

PlumpJack Cafe Squaw Valley features modern American cuisine, in a contemporary setting, with great service. Centered around seasonal ingredients, the menu changes frequently to reflect the freshest produce, meats and seafood. PlumpJack Cafe, located at PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn, is widely regarded as Lake Tahoe's premier dining destination.

Throughout the course of Biking for a Better World's fundrasing efforts since early 2006, Plumpjack and its staff have always been willing to contribute their time, support, and space for events. The A2A team is very grateful for all they have done to help.

ZOIC™ was founded on the mountain biking trails of the Marin Headlands. The belief was that clothing plays an integral role in connecting you to the active outdoor experience. ZOIC's core purpose is to continually create outdoor clothing that embodies the elements of a quality lifestyle: performance, fun, comfort, simplicity, and aesthetics.

Biking for a Better World and the A2A team would like to thank Eric Swenson, founder of Zoic, for fulfilling all gear requests. Zoic has provided product for fundrasing events, training, and the tour itself.

At Clif Bar Inc., we're committed to people's health and the environment. We want to make sure the way we do business helps sustain the natural resources and communities that we depend on. That's why we're working to reduce our ecological footprint in everything we do, from the field to the final product.

Peter Berridge, of Clif Bar, has been instrumental in providing the team with an adequate supply of product both for fundraising and the A2A team's training. Clif Bar's commitment to the project instills confidence in the team as well as providing them with nourishment for such a rigorous journey.

For over 35 years Smith has designed products to exceed your expectations. Smith is as well known for its diverse line of fashion and performance sunglasses as it is for its goggles. From Smith's distortion-free Tapered Lens Technology to the versatility of the Slider Series, with its patented, interchangeable lens system, the devotion to excellence, innovation and style is what has made Smith goggles and sunglasses the choice of action-sport athletes worldwide.

BBW and the A2A team would like to add Shannon Carey for outfitting the team with Threshold sliders for the tour. Smith has also been supportive in BBW's fundraising efforts, supplying generous amounts of product for raffles and silent auctions.

The Christine Spero Group plays an exciting blend of jazz, Latin, pop and world influenced original music. Christine is a pianist, singer and songwriter whose work is passionate, unique and diverse. Her well-crafted songs are mature and complex and leave a lot of room for other musicians to express themselves.

BOB has generously provided each team member with a trailer. Check out their complete line of trailers, strollers, and accessories.
