Jake Spero grew up in the Catskill mountains of upstate New York. Here he attended Hartwick college to receive a B.A. in English and is currently writing a memoirs detailing a bike tour across the country. In his path to become a writer he is anxious to see a chunk of the world from his bike seat, a place which affords the perfect angle to peer into humanity and better understand the land of our Earth. He believes in bike touring as not only an avenue of creativity, but as a way to expend great effort for a good cause. He is happiest when on a bike. This bike tour has been a dream for many years. |
John Witherspoon grew up in the small northern Vermont ski town of Jay Peak. He found a love for the outdoor lifestyle through skiing, biking, running, and hiking. Teaching kids to ski at Jay Peak, showed him just how great working with kids can be. The Alaska To Argentina bike tour is tailored to fit John's persona. As a life long adventure and endurance athlete and someone who is always looking for an opportunity to inspire children this tour will be a great match for him. |
Duncan Sisson was born in Buffalo, New York. His summers are mostly spent outdoors in the Sierra Nevadas, while his winters are devoted to patrolling the mountains he calls home. He currently holds CPR, and EMT certifications, and will be a value to this team. His passion to travel and see the world, along with a good challenge, will lead him to nine months in a bike seat. He finds a sense of purpose in contributing to a great cause. |
