renatachlumska.com: Renata Chlumska was Goran Kropp's fiancee when he died tragically in 2002. She accompanied him on his bicycle journey to Nepal, and is the first Swedish woman to summit Mt. Everest. Goran and Renata had planned the Around America Adventure by kayak and bicycle. Unfortunately, Renata had to go alone, and she finished successfully last year. Hooray for Renata! She is and always will be a true inspiration to our team.

Smith, who was killed in a commercial airplane crash at Aspen Airport in 1970. Since its inception in 1994, the intention of CHARITYSMITH has been to honor the memory of a loved one by helping others achieve their dreams. Charitysmith was established to honor the memories of inspirational people who have passed on. In 2006, Charitysmith established the Goran Kropp Memorial Fund in honor of Goran Kropp’s unparalleled courage and ambition and his passion for adventure. The fund was established to support those who venture to challenge their inner core. For so many who love the outdoors, Goran was and still is a true inspiration. Biking for a Better World is honored to be the 2007 recipient of this memorial fund. Goran has always been a hero to all the members of team A2A, and to have his name attached to the project is very special. The team wants to thank Brooks and Charitysmith for all their support.
