Motivated by previous fundraising ventures, the four riders became inspired to form their own non-profit corporation, Biking for a Better World, Inc. The A2A tour and the funding of the Nicaragua school encompass the first project of the organization.
Our goal is to make an impact by improving communities that will become our hosts along our route. This will be accomplished through a partnership with Building with Books, an established and succesful non-profit, which has built over 200 schools around the globe and also makes a difference closer to home through 64 after-school programs and five online programs. Currently, we are focusing all our efforts on the Nicaragua school project. However, once our goal is reached, our situation will allow us the opportunity to focus our fundraising on another cause.
